Netplus is deploying Nokia’s 7250 Interconnect Routers (IXR) for broadband aggregation, paired with 7750 Service Routers (SR) to deliver broadband network gateway (BNG) capabilities. The IXR series supports 400 Gb/s Ethernet with future scalability to 800GE, while the SR uses FP5 routing silicon optimized for 5G backhaul and industrial IoT networks.

The deployment also features Lightspan optical line terminals (OLT), enabling fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) via GPON and XGS-PON technologies. Network automation is powered by Nokia’s Altiplano Access Controller, which centralizes and virtualizes network functions, supporting speeds up to 100 Gb/s.

With this upgrade, Netplus aims to transition users from traditional broadcast TV to interactive IPTV on-demand platforms, while enabling high-speed broadband applications like online retail, virtual learning, and other data-intensive services.
